Cobot Palletizer

Near the end of every manufacturing production line, products must be packaged for sale and then boxed for shipment.  Stacking boxes on a pallet is a tedious, time consuming task that involves lifting and twisting which can be the cause of significant strain on workers' backs which makes it a high-value target for automation.  So why have you not yet automated this process?

In many plants all production lines are channeled via conveyors to one centralized palletizing station.  This approach consumes lots of floor space restricting movement around the conveyor system.  An alternate approach is to create multiple palletizing operations, possibly at the end of each production point.  Considering the monetary and space cost of installing and operating a single traditional robotic palletizer that can accommodate all products made at a plant, engineers have been unable to justify the cost of adding multiple such stations, even if each is smaller.

With the advent of the 6-axis collaborative robot mounted on a simple 7th axis linear actuator, a wide variety of options become available to manufacturing process designers.  The Robotiq Palletizing solution is about as simple to install and operate as any robotic automation project can be, and the cobot is immune to the effects of lift and twisting!

Give us call to talk to an application sales engineer who can help you assess whether a cobot palletizer is the optimal solution available at an attractive ROI, to help lower your related safety concerns, expand you r available floor-space, and accelerate your throughput.

HTE Automation and Robotiq help manufacturers improve their operational profitability in Kansas, Missouri, and Illinois.
